Microsoft Outlook Icon for Mac

This is an outlook icon to go with some other icons sets available for microsoft office for mac. The zip file contains a png file and an icns file. if you want to use these icons on your dock, and you want outlook 2011 (or 2008) to recognize the new icon and display the new emails number in the red circle when you have new mail, you will need to place the icns file in the proper location or it will revert to the original icon when you have unread mail. to make the icon function as the stock icons does (displaying new mail in the red circle) you have to right click (command click) on the outlook application file (in your application folder), then select show package contents. then open the folder called contents, then open the folder called resources. in the resources folder, rename the outlook.icns file to outlook-OLD.icns. then copy the new outlook.icns file to the resources folder. restart outlook and the new icon will function like the stock icon did. you may also need to change the outlook application icon using the get info window for it to display correctly in all states.
